Grants aim to strengthen the grassroots community in New York City working for social justice goals. The program issues requests for proposals to support efforts that expand community outreach, advocacy, services, and collaboration among grassroots organizations.
The Union Square Awards merged the Project Grants and General Operating Support (GOS) grants into one program in 2010 allowing eligible Awardees to apply at the end of their initial contract term. Organizations that have completed their initial Award period and have submitted all final report reports may be eligible to apply.
Information and guidelines are mailed directly to eligible grantees.
