2008
GRANTEES
The project grants program aims to strengthen the grassroots community
working for social justice goals in New York City. To help sustain
prior Union Square Award recipients who continue to engage in
the work for which they were awarded, the program supports projects
that expand community outreach, build organizational capacity,
or foster collaboration among grassroots organizations. Organizations
not currently receiving or being considered for other Union Square
Awards funding and who have submitted all reports due are eligible
to apply.
In 2008, the program distributed $325,000 to 13 organizations.
